Workshop presentation :
COSMETIC VALLEY invites you to take part in its Cosmetopoeia Workshop at the Maison de la Nouvelle-Aquitaine in Paris, on October 18, 2024 from 9:30 am to 13 pm.
Come and meet innovative European players contributing to the green transition for the cosmetics industry!
In the global context of cosmetics market development, increasingly oriented towards natural products and more particularly plant-based materials, the Cosmetopoeia concept is to cosmetics what the traditional pharmacopoeia is to pharmacy:
- Preserving traditional knowledge: Documenting the traditional uses of natural resources for skin care can prevent the loss of valuable ethnobotanical data.
- Enhancing local biodiversity: Identifying and characterizing regional plant species can support the economic development of local communities.
- Promote sustainable cosmetics: Drawing on traditional practices can guide the cosmetics industry towards more natural, ecological and ethical products.
- Participate in local economic development : Enabling resource-holding territories to develop jobs and economic activity.
The aim of this event is to bring together European players around the Cosmetopoeia concept, to identify topics of interest, and to share your expertise and experience in order to innovate collectively in this emerging field.
